Parents AT Home (PATH) is a grassroots organization started in 2000 in Columbia, Maryland. There are currently four chapters (Columbia, Catonsville, Eldersburg, and Mount Airy), but we are growing fast!
While PATH began as a support organization for parents choosing to stay at home and raise their children, it has evolved into an organization devoted to anyone who wants to enrich the lives of the children they love. We welcome moms, dads, grandparents, and their families, whether you commute to an office, work at home, or are with your kids all day long.
The number one priority is the care and nurturing of our children. PATH emphasizes the importance of connecting families with other families, and in turn connecting them to the resources, activities, and information they will find most helpful.
PATH chapters sponsor monthly socials, playgroups, field trips, parties, crafts, hikes, and park dates for the entire family. In addition, PATH offers events for caregivers such as quarterly evening business meetings featuring speakers exploring parenting issues, book clubs, scrapbooking, and parents’ nights out.
PATH has two main goals: we hope to bring excitement, fun, and enrichment to our children’s lives; and we support caregivers with ideas, solutions, social activities, and friendship.
Each PATH chapter sponsors at least one community outreach event per year, to help families or children in need.
